The Microguard unit will continuously update its GPS co-ordinates at regular intervals if a signal is available. A blue flashing GPS Indicator from the unit is a good indication that the unit has acquired an up-to-date GPS position and the information has been stored. Should the unit not have a blue flashing light or you wish to manually update the current GPS position, press the side on/off button for 1 second until the green light starts to flash and the device vibrates once. In order to best acquire GPS ensure the device has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky as the device will scan for GPS satellites to obtain its position. If you are indoors, place the unit near a window to allow the best possible chance of a successfully-recorded GPS fix or move outside is possible.
