When the MicroSOS is first turned on it will use AGPS technology to quickly locate the satellites and acquire a GPS connection once established it will continuously update its GPS co-ordinates at regular intervals provided a signal is available.
The blue GPS indicator on the unit will flash regularly as a good indication that the unit has acquired an up-to-date GPS position and the information has been stored. Should the unit not have a blue GPS flashing indicator or you wish to manually update the current GPS position, press the side Power button for 1 second until the blue GPS indicator starts to flash and the device vibrates.
Ensure the device has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky as the device will scan for GPS satellites to obtain its position. If you are indoors, place the unit near a window to allow the best possible chance of a successfully-recorded GPS fix.
