The device will generate an alarm depending on the length of fall, length of non-activity and the orientation of the device's final position. The device is able to tell if it is an actual fall or if it is just a day to day activity.
The device has 4 parameters for the fall sensor. It will gauge free-fall, impact, non-movement and tilt. So, if a user was to fall, then get up and continue walking, the Fall Detection alarm would cancel itself as the device detected movement after the tilt/weightlessness and impact.
